I serve as the Director at the Data Science Research Services (DSRS) within the Gies College of Business, and I am also a Research Assistant Professor in both the Accountancy and Astronomy departments, as well as at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA), all at the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign (UIUC). Additionally, I am honored to be one of the first Trusted CI Fellows at the Trusted CI NSF Cybersecurity Center of Excellence. I also hold a Faculty-in-Residence position at the Discovery Partners Institute (DPI) in Chicago, IL.

My professional interests encompass a wide range of complex issues in data-intensive science. This includes machine and deep learning, data mining, analysis and visualization, image processing, AI generative models, scientific platforms and cyberinfrastructure development, data management, software engineering, and scientific cloud computing. Although my primary research area is astronomy and finance, the interdisciplinary nature of my work allows me to utilize similar methods and tools across various fields. As a result, I have extended my expertise to Earth sciences, bio-imaging, veterinary medicine, agricultural economics, and finance research.
